Refund and Cancellation Policy

Effective 28 July 2026. We update this page when the product changes, not on a schedule.

What happens when you cancel, when we refund, and how to ask. Short version: five runs are free so you can decide before paying, cancelling is immediate and keeps your access to the end of the period you paid for, and if a scan failed because of us we restore the credit without you having to ask for money back.

Try it before you pay

Every account starts with five free runs. No card, no trial timer, and the complete fix pack is included rather than previewed — the robots.txt, schema markup and sitemap are generated and downloadable on the free tier.

That exists so nobody has to buy in order to find out whether the product is useful. We would rather you spend the free runs first than ask for a refund afterwards.

Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel a subscription at any time from the billing portal, reachable from your dashboard settings. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.

Nothing is deleted when you cancel. Past scans, fix packs and history stay available on your account, and you keep access to the paid features until the period ends. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.

We do not bill for overages. If you run out of credits the service stops until you top up or the next period starts — it never keeps running and invoices you afterwards.

Refunds

If something on our side went wrong, we will put it right. Specifically:

  • A scan that failed because of a fault in our service: tell us and we restore the credit. This is the ordinary case and does not require a refund request.
  • A duplicate or accidental charge: refunded in full.
  • A subscription you did not intend to renew, where you have not used the period’s credits: contact us and we will refund it.

Outside those cases, refunds are considered individually. Scan runs are delivered and consumed immediately, so a period whose credits have been spent has been used — we cannot un-run an analysis. If you are unhappy with what the product told you, write to us and explain; we would rather hear it than keep money from someone who found the service useless.

We do not offer partial refunds for unused time on a cancelled subscription. Access continues to the end of the paid period instead.

One-time credit top-ups

Top-up credits do not expire and are not tied to a billing period. Because they stay on your account until you use them, an unused top-up can be refunded on request. Once credits have been spent on scans, they have been delivered.

How to request a refund

Email support@linkaudit.app from the address on your account. Include what you were charged for and roughly when. You do not need a specific form of words, an order number, or a reason.

We aim to respond within two business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.

Who processes the payment

Payments are handled by our payment provider acting as merchant of record. They are the seller of record for the transaction, they appear on your card or bank statement, and they issue the refund once it is approved.

How long the money takes to arrive after that is set by your bank or card issuer, not by us — commonly five to ten business days. The merchant of record’s own refund terms apply alongside this page; where the two differ, theirs govern the mechanics of the transaction.

Before you file a chargeback

Please write to support@linkaudit.app first. A chargeback is slower for you than a refund, and it is decided by your bank rather than by us, which means neither of us gets to explain what happened. Almost everything people file chargebacks over is something we would simply have refunded.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when the product or its billing changes, not on a schedule. A change never applies retroactively to a charge already made — the version in effect on the day you were billed is the one that governs it.
